...Back to the 80's: The Totally Awesome Musical. More info -> [link]
Honestly? I'm not to thrilled with the choice. I'd much, much rather do a more traditional musical like the past years since this started: Footloose, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, the Wizard of Oz, Guys and Dolls. But I've told myself to shut up about it, this is my first year with a lead role, and I think once we start I'll enjoy it.
But what the reason I'm announcing this is because I don't know how much I'll be around the next two weeks. This show literally takes up ALL of my time. I'm working 8 to 4 the first week, and 9 to 9 the next. I've told my boss that someone else will have to teach my classes while it's going on, I won't be seeing my voice teacher, and all other plans are put on the back burner, art included. I'm making it sound really serious and foreboding, I know, but the truth is this is my favorite time of year. So many bonds are created and absurd amounts of fun are had.
On a just as supermegafoxyawesomefun (AVPM!) note, tomorrow Im performing in a little show as well what it involves is taking two scenes from about a dozen different musicals and performing them. No charge to get in, as we don't have the rights to the shows, but we're costumed and blocked and have mini sets for each scene. Personally, Im Christine from Phantom during Masquerade and Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again/Wandering Child/Bravo Monsieur; Belle from Beauty and the Beast during Belle and Be Our Guest; and Columbia from the Rocky Horror Show during the Time Warp and Hot Patootie/Bless My Soul. We've been working on this in bits and pieces for about three months now, and it's only just come together last week... I'M SO EXCITED. Ahem </end bragging>
Yeah... I think that's everything. I'll do my best to stay in touch loves!

Feel free to add me!
No reason to thank me, thank YOU for the art!
